Last month, the Migrant Forum in Asia (MFA) together with the Human Rights and Development Foundation (HRDF) conducted a capacity-building workshop on Fair and Ethical Recruitment, and Staffhouse was invited to be one of the participants.
The workshop, supported by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), was conducted to help strengthen civil society’s capacity in understanding fair and ethical recruitment and to socialize the existing outputs and efforts on achieving it. It also helped build the capacity of members and partners to create visibility and coherence in the strategic reporting on the human interest stories of migrant workers.
Staffhouse was chosen as one of the three participants from the Philippines and was represented by its Managing Director, Marc R. Capistrano. Marc spoke about the challenges and opportunities faced by industry players in promoting fair and ethical recruitment. The workshop was held at the Ambassador Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand from 17-19 August 2022.
